Integration Context of the Civil Systems

The integration context of our five engineering subsystems is represented as a part or leading towards an airport. The systems considered for integration are timber and steel bridges, airport pavement, multistorey buildng and pv panels.

The main idea is that an airport is build on an island in front of a coast, connected through two different bridges (steel and timber) that provide the infrastructure to get from mainland to the island. the left bridge made of timber is for lighter traffic and the bridge made of steel for heavy traffic. Within the airport is an service building, which can only be reached by taxiaways. This is where airport pavement is being used. To reduce the need for electricity and to enhance sustainability several pv panels are put on the roof of the airport.

The described idea of the integration of our five different civil systems is presented in the figure below in form of a sketch for better understanding.
