The Ontologies of the Individual Projects are combined together in order to provide an Overview of the Integrated Project as a whole, This is achieved by combining the Various components and Functions of each Ontology to create one Ontology that encompasses the Integrated Project.

What is the purpose?

The Purpose of the Combined Ontology is to provide a common Framework to illustrate the Components and Functions that the Integrated Project represents, This is done so that the Ontology serves to provide a clear and accurate Guideline to the Project which helps all the Interested Parties gain a complete and Precise Understanding of the Project.

 

What is the scope?

The Ontology describes how the Components of the Individual Projects are all linked together and showcases how the components of each System is linked to the project as a whole and to the Components of the other Projects and their respective role in the Project as a whole, The Ontology is flexible but detailed so that the user has the Freedom to view the Ontology at the desired level of Complexity suitable for his needs.

 

Who are the intended users?

The Ontology is mainly intended for the use of the Designers and Engineers who are concerned with the Design, Operation and Maintenance of the Project but it can also be used by anyone who needs to be acquainted with the Project and it’s Components such as: the Stakeholders and Government Officials.

 

What is intended use?

The Ontology is intended to be used similar to how any graphical Representation of the Project can be used to help illustrate the Important Concepts and Connection Points between the different Individual Project Entities.
