In order to create the river valley around the dam, we first created the river valley and added the dam inside.

After putting the dam in the same angle of the valley we adjusted their slopes and the hights. We then connected the output nodes of the valley width to the width nodes of the dam.

The dam now adapts its width to the valley and the river.
