2. Combined Ontology

In this chapter the combined ontology of the three parts of the system, runway, tunnel and hangar is displayed. It is a combination of three existing ontologies.

Common Parameters

A lot of the High Performance Criteria (HPC) from components interact with parameters from the other components. For example, generally it can be said: The bigger the Airport, the bigger the Runway(s), the bigger the Hangars and Tunnels for supply and/or traffic.

More concrete: An Airbus A380 requires a runway length of 2900 metres and a width of 60 metres. If an airport wants to handle planes like an Airbus A380, the hangar needs to be big enough to fit the huge airplane.

The parameters of the tunnel that are influenced by the other parts of the system are the thickness of the tubbing (which loads are above the tunnel).
