Integration Context

Overview:

The Goal of the Integration of the Individual Projects is to establish a connection between the Harbor and the City that allows for Fast and reliable Transit between the Harbor Facilities and the City itself, all while providing a Sustainable Solution to protect this Infrastructure from the corrosion and deterioration by using the Break Water.

In order to minimize the Harmful Effect on the Environment the Integrated Project is located inside the Sea-body, this is done to minimize the Disruption done to the Coastline as well as keep Emissions from directly impacting the City, this also has the added Benefit of reducing the Earthwork required to establish the Harbor Facilities.

Integration between the Individual Components:

1-The Highway Pavement is used on the Road within the City limits so as to provide Traffic with a stable and Reliable Road whether the Traffic is heading to the Inside or outside of the Harbor.

2-The Arch Bridge then is connected to the Highway and with it’s Structural system advantage is capable of covering the relatively large distance between the Pavement on the Shore and the Harbor Facilities located deep into the Water-body away from the City.

3-The Steel Bridge is connected with the Arch bridge and located within the the Harbor itself  and it provides the means of Transportation within different Facilities located within it, as well as the main Conduit for the Transportation of Goods using Trucks.

4-The Break water is constructed on the outer Boundary of the Harbor  running parallel to the side of the steel Bridge so as to Provide protection to the Harbor Facilities as well as reduce the Effect of Water Currents on the Docking of Ships, also by constructing it away from the Shore this helps reduce the Volume of required Dredging which is the removal of is the removal of Sand from the Seabed.
