2. Maintenance Strategy

One of the first steps to optimize the interfaces of the four individual systems is to study each system’s 1) lifetime, 2) the defined interventions in the form of maintenance or replacement and 3) their frequency. The main goal is to study how each system impacts the other by defining different interfaces between the four individual systems and consequently how one system failure can lead to a malfunctioning of the other systems. This leads to the main goal of the Multi-Objective Optimization, which is to reduce the duration of any maintenance and to increase the time between successive maintenance interventions.
