During its lifetime a civil engineering system must withstand extreme load. In general, each system is designed for a specific life span. These are for example 30 years for a wind turbine, 35 years for a heating system an 70 years for a multi-storey car park. Naturally a system has to be maintained and even in high quality products failures are not inevitable. Depending on the state of degradation, different maintenance actions are required.
Due to the integration context we have created for our systems and the results of the second assignment of each system we have integrated the different maintenance strategies of the systems in 3 different variations.
The result of the best strategy is shown in the figure below due to the AHP decision.
