Parametric Model

For our blender model, we picked the riding hall and the riding arenas that are new in the parametric model of the riding hall to stand in the centre of our new combined model.

Our input parameters are the width and the length of the given area where the school, the riding halls and arenas are built on. This area we will call ‘area of the riding school’. There will be exactly and no more than 2 Riding Halls. One for the therapeutic lessons and one for the schooling lessons. The area of the riding school as an input parameter influence the number of the riding arenas that can be built with the area one has left when school, the schools parking lot and the two Riding Halls has been built.

Additional to each riding hall the number of riding arenas influences on the one hand the number of students attending the school and on the other hand the number of patients who are enabled to get therapy. The resulting numbers of all users of the riding facility influences the number of bikes that can be locked in a bike sharing station in front of the school or the hospital.

Changes that cause a difference in the area of the riding school do not stand in contact with the size of the hospital. The hospital has its own fixed size. But the size of the station inside the hospital where they treat the patients in the hospital is editable and influenced by the number of patients and an input parameter for other rooms inside the station.

The connection between both areas (riding school and hospital) is the bike sharing station. We placed bike stations next to both areas. The number of stations (=bikes) depends on the number of students and the number of patients at their areas. The bikes allow the patients, the students or the hospital- or school-staff to be very mobile and this leads to the fact that they can get to the other place very easily.

Other facts to keep in mind

After changes are calculated our parametric model is followed up by some occasions you have to think about:

1)  The area for the parking lots is calculated by the number of students and is sitting inside the predefined area of the riding school. There is a possibility that the size of the parking lot gets bigger than the actual given area for the riding school. In this case, you should keep in mind that only the parking lot area that is in the predefined area of the riding school can be built for sure. The area of the parking lot that is outside of this area should be provided by some public parking lots near the school outside the area of the riding school to make sure, that these parking lots exist.

2)  The station where the patients are treated inside the hospital can also get bigger than the fixed sized of the whole ground floor. The station is implemented in such way, that the station will always only lie in the ground floor. When at some point the area gets bigger than this, it is important to think about how to handle this occasion. One could think about another to spread onto another floor or one could gather ambulant treated patients who can get therapy at the riding school as well.
