The combined parametric models start with combining our systems:

For this integrated system, there was no main common functionality and/or domain. Amphibious house and Oscillating water column considered as superstructure and the rest is considered as infrastructure. Each system works independently and each one serves different end users.

Adopting the highway tunnel to other marine-oriented system items such as Amphibious House, Oscillating Water Column, Concrete Gravity Dam, is the key challenge. Since all developed systems are independently created, and all require a base system to be merged into a single parameterized model that can adapt to different developed interfaces. Therefore, as a first step, we created a base which represent project location as a valley to demonstrate the context of the integrated system. The integrated model is guided by the main axis because the project position is located at initial point for the project as (0,0,0). As a second step, the concrete gravity dam is positioned between two sides of the valley that is created as a project location in Dynamo. This gives us a better content for our parametric model. The dam utilizes hydropower from the river to produce pollution-free electricity.

While we have four separate models, the integrated system provides a variety of geometric consistency that can be adjusted according to the parameters and limits of project location. The integrated model remains geometrical parameters adjustable and it leads to make contacted with the local parameters. Therefore, model is available to control automatically by defining the parameters of project location.
To make the concrete gravity dam adaptive to its geographical environment we created three main parameters:

  • The width of the river valley
  • The connection between two sides of valley
  • Elevation of the systems

It means that we need to change the tunnel function and its description. Because tunnel model describes a highway which stick with the certain geographical coordinates of the project location which is under ground. While we integrated all these systems into one entity, we decided to integrate their functionality as well. Therefore, we modify the tunnel as a service tunnel which leads to carry utilities like fiber optics, cable television, and telephone cables are also sometimes carried.
